They killed it. I can't believe they did, but Bernie & Max have chopped Canada from the 09 schedule. Hello Abu Dhabi, good bye Montreal. What a complete thumb in the eye to dedicated F1 fans in North America who have sold that event out for as far back as I can remember.
this was a shocker ... I admit I totally did not see this one coming. I wonder what is going on behind the scenes. does it have something to do with the track surface problems ? or is Bernie playing his hard to get game again ?
hearing this I am really glad I went to Montreal this year but I do not want to be the one to say that I went to the last F1 race in Canada ...
I'm also upset that there's no more Imola, a GP which I'm really interested with since have seen the last editions such interesting races. Anyway, Montreal is a great venue, and the track could have some solution to get repaired, just a big budget and new technologies to survive the cold/heat effect.
Yeah... Big bad luck for those americans which love F1 races, I'm not going to say that in Europe is going better, GPs began to disappear when Asia began to rise. Good luck that I'm in a country where are raced 2 races yearly, but that's for a while, nobody can confirm for how long...
