Hakkinen lost his tropheis

Mika HakkinenWell, a new report about the 39 year old Mika Hakkinen have been published in F1-Live. The news talk about a fire which have rised druing the night in the trophey alley of Mika's house in Callian, Provence. He and two woman escaped safely (press writes that one might be his new couple; so what were there doing 3 - one man & two woman - ??? Ay ay ay...). Hakkien divorced at the end of 2007 and beginning of 2008 with Erja (now Mika's residence in Monaco may be her's). In this press issue was told one of his dogs perished because of the flames (that's a big pitty...).

Mika's new girl

Press suspects she is Hakkinen's new couple, Marketa?

Mika's villa in Callian, France

A French source want us to believe this is Mika's villa, I think it looks too much cheap for a double world champion and still under construction

Callian

Settlement of Mika's villa, the Lac de Saint-Cassein in the Provence region

More info about it could appear in whole newspapers, here is the main communicate: Hakkinen flees burning house in France.

So may we say that he isn't 2 times World Cmapion any more??? I guess he saved part of his tropheis in a safe place! Or then all his bequeath disappeared!!! So he might recieve some copies maybe from the FIA, that would be pretty nice :-)

this sad event for Mika also shows how unprofessional the media can be ... two different takes on this story:

ITV website:
"Former world champion Mika Hakkinen escaped injury in a house fire in France at the weekend. Hakkinen was in his villa in the Provence village of Callian on Friday night when the fire started, according to a report by the Agence France-Presse news agency. The Finn and two other people who were in the property at the time all escaped safely, but two of the villa's three floors sustained significant damage."

Grandprix.com:
"A fire has destroyed the French country home of Mika Hakkinen. The blaze broke out in the mansion outside the village of Callian, near the town of Grasse, in Provence. The fire started at around four o'clock on Saturday morning and destroyed around three-quarters of the building, which had only just been finished. Firemen from several villages in the region fought the fire but no-one was injured in the blaze. Hakkinen was not at home and his girlfriend and a friend of her's fled the building."

both talking about the same story, both saying something totally different ...

Goes to show you that the media jump to a story before facts are known just to get their story out first.

I don't suppose it's ever the same having to replace trophies of your career.

Yeah... That's very sad, and something which is shocking. All your work during so many years, it's vanished in few hours.

The same for so many people arround the world that can expect their lifes can change in the following minute...
